Classification for each establishment
For each club there is a separate classification of the teams that play there.
The ultimate team leaderboard.
Because Bulgaria’s top quiz is played at many venues, the Brain Battles League brings every team into one ultimate ranking.
Every team appearance is recorded with its points, number of battles, and venue.
For each club there is a separate classification of the teams that play there.
K equals the confirmed number of individual players on the night — not the number of teams.
At the end of the season, the league winner is the team with the most points in the league.
Each venue has its own standings. Every completed battle receives a League coefficient based on attendance: winning a 70-player night (K=70) is worth more than winning at a 25-player night (K=25). Each team’s venue result is converted into League points using that coefficient.
A victory in the evening with 70 participants
win in a 25-player facility
The team with the most League points at the end of the season wins. The official number of rounds equals the number of unique quizzes held across all venues that season, so keep track of the battles you have already played.
A night's points are set first by the team's place in the venue ranking. They are then multiplied by that edition's coefficient K.
| Place | Base points |
|---|---|
| 1 | 7 |
| 2 | 5 |
| 3 | 3 |
| 4 | 2 |
| 5 | 1 |
K equals the confirmed number of individual players on that night. For example, a win with 70 players is 7 × 70 = 490 pts, while a win with 25 players is 7 × 25 = 175 pts
This means third place with 70 players earns 3 × 70 = 210 pts — more than first place with 25 players. This is deliberate: K reflects the total turnout of the night, not just the number of competing teams. That is why the number of teams does not replace the number of individual players in the coefficient.
Every quiz has one permanent number, whichever venue it is played at. Only a team's first valid, finalised entry in a given quiz counts; a repeat entry stays visible in the history but cannot improve its result.
The number of counted results equals the number of different quizzes of the current season that have already been played and finalised. If several venues play the same quiz, it adds only one round. The best N results are taken from all eligible entries, so a new entry never lowers the total.
K is locked at finalisation from the confirmed attendance. An old quiz takes exactly a 10% reduction, applied after the coefficient and any applicable bonuses — never a negative result.
If totals are level, teams are compared in turn on points from counted current quizzes, then number of first places, then highest counted result. If they are still level, the teams are tied and qualification waits for a published administrative tiebreak.
The Match of the Best is the ultimate event at the end of every season.
Each venue’s season winner and the top seven teams in the League meet at a selected location for one epic super battle. It has six rounds, more questions in every round, and a broader tie-break range.
The Match of the Best takes place between Christmas and New Year.
